Each coconut shell is then polished with organic coconut oil and filled with a natural soy wax, which is infused with essential oils. The wicks crackle to mimic the sound of a real fire, and the candle is super long-lasting.

Given the coconut bowls are completely natural, they may differ slightly in size, colour and shape. 

These coconut candles come from the Bên Tre region in Southern Vietnam, an area famed for the quality of its coconuts. For many years the local farmers have made a modest income from selling coconut by-products such as coconut oils and coconut milks. Once the products were harvested the coconut shells and trees were seen as waste and burned to make way for the new crops.

By using coconut candles you are helping to provide the local farmers with a secondary income, as well as preventing more coconuts and trees being needlessly burned.
